Andrea Pozzi

Internationally renowned photographer, adventurer and storyteller, Andrea Pozzi was born in the autumn of 1984 in Bormio, a jewel nestled in the Rhaetian Alps.

About

Since he was a child, Andrea has always been strongly attracted to distant lands, which he fantasized about reaching by examining ancient faded maps that bore mysterious Latin phrases such as “Hic sunt leones” .Over the years he has had the opportunity to travel to the most remote corners of the world and then tell his stories to an increasingly wider and more passionate audience.Every new experience represents for him a great opportunity for growth. He believes that a territory is much more than a simple geographical place and that it is shaped by our imagination as well as by our ability to finally feel part of the natural world. The incessant desire to discover and test himself, gave rise to his personal photographic project (or perhaps life), FORGOTTENLANDS or "forgotten lands". His camera has accompanied him to the wildest and most remote places in the world, allowing him to admire incredible natural spectacles such as the immense glaciers of Alaska and the Yukon, the sharp peaks of Patagonia and Shangri-La, the tropical paradises of Polynesia, the Andean plateaus, the surreal endemicities of Yemen, Antarctica and South Georgia, the intricate forests of New Zealand, the extraordinary Japanese winter, the ancient Namib Desert, the Siberian taiga and the Lapland Northern Lights. He has visited more than 60 countries on all seven continents. Every journey begins with the aim of knowing oneself better, coming into contact with the purest soul of adventure and exploration. Telling one's state of mind through the landscape has become, over the years, the primary purpose of his wandering.
